Shanghai West Bund Art & Design 2025
Commission for The Swatch Art Peace Hotel for their first exhibition at West Bund Art & Design Art Fair.
From the “A Swatch Art Playground” themed exhibition, Carlos researched one the most simple and universal toy, a spinning top, and developed the rotating movements along the 37 metre display windows.
Printed on a transparent material, the colourful work allowed the light to diffuse playful colours inside, while becoming a captivating sight for the observers passing by at dusk.

Chromatic Rhythms
The CS Gallery Windows Design in Caroline Springs, Australia, features Chromatic Rhythms by Carlos Almenar Diaz, a large-scale polyptych spanning six windows.
This temporary public artwork combines abstract, colourful designs with geometric illusions to unite the City’s diverse communities. Influenced by Carlos’s research on color perception, it offers an immersive experience of chromatic and optical illusions.
Displayed during the Christmas season, the artwork incorporates festive red, green, and gold colours in a kinetic display, disrupting the urban routine and encouraging interaction and personal connection with the piece.

Chromatic Concentric Sequences
Chromatic Concentric Sequences from the Circular Rhythm Series on The Substation’s Billboard Gallery.
This chronological series offers an experience of visual interaction between each work of art and the viewer, where Carlos has created a rhythmic series through a chromatic construction in sequences of times.
