The Swatch Art Peace Hotel Journey in Shanghai
During his artistic residency at The Swatch Art Peace Hotel in Shanghai, Carlos -almenardiaz- investigated acrylic paint, specifically primary and complementary colours, to create works of art while developing a new series of op-art works with vibrant colours, while also developing a new “moiré” series of optical effects using his usual digital tools.

Carlos Almenar Diaz’s artwork Fragments of Colours Series 1:2 , displayed at ANZAC Station on St Kilda Road, Melbourne, was selected to adorn the cover of Embellish, a limited edition book designed to celebrate the Metro Tunnel Creative Program and feature many artistic highlights and their impact on the life of thousands of over the years.
